We all go through the stage where we try a lot of skin products hoping that they can improve skin appearance. It is not something to be ashamed of, since many of us have that desire for enviable skin. Now I understand that there are several factors that contribute to a good state of health of our skin.

The more I think about it and research it, the more I realize that it’s really about having good habits in order to achieve healthy, youthful skin. And now I want to share with you 5 habits that you can start to apply in your life to achieve that goal. Of course, you should not force yourself to fulfill them all at once, take your time to implement them.



  1. Nutrition.
    This is something that everyone knows. A good diet results in a healthy life, body and skin. Eating a diet of vegetables, fruits, and white meat is a very good start to improving the appearance of your skin. Clean from the inside out.

  2. Cook with healthy fats.
    Many of the vegetable oils and margarines that we see in the supermarket are usually highly processed products, that is, with additives that are not beneficial for the body at all.

My favorite oils are organic coconut oil and grass-fed ghee. These types of fats do not oxidize at high temperatures and help to have a stable hormonal balance and a good function of metabolism.

  1. Take herbal teas daily.
    One of my favorites will definitely always be the lemongrass one, sometimes I combine it with organic honey and make liters in the summer and keep it cold.
    Other times I make combinations of different herbs such as chamomile, apple, cinnamon, lemon, mint, etc.
    And guess what? If it is difficult for you to drink 2 liters of water a day, this is your solution.

  2. Keep the pantry with healthy snacks.
    This is a good way not to be tempted. Have healthy snacks in your cupboard, such as sunflower seeds, pistachios, almonds, blueberries, etc.

  3. Avoid sugary drinks.
    Change the processed sugar for honey, it is much sweeter and contains anti-aging properties.

You know, you don’t have to do everything in one go. You could be implementing a new habit per week or per month and then progress with more healthy methods.
Be proud of achieving these challenges, which for many is not easy. Your prize will be great if you are persistent.
