Have you heard the story of COCO?

Haha, no, I don’t mean that! ; D’m Im Talking about fruit: D Coconut is a tropical fruit obtained from the coconut tree(cocos nucifera), the most cultivated palm in the world. Its outer shell is thick and has a fibrous mesocarp, in addition to a harder, brown interior. This is where the pulp is attached, which is white and very aromatic. It can measure up to 30 cm, with a weight of 2.6 kg.

The ancient Portuguese explorers took it to Europe, its brown and furry surface with three holes, reminded them of a face like that of the ghost from the stories about COCO that are told in Spain and Portugal to children to scare them.

The properties of this fruit are a nutritional treasure. From the coconut you can drink the water that it keeps inside or you can eat the fresh pulp, from that, you can obtain oils, butters, milk and even flour. Drinking coconut water helps lower blood pressure, great for heart health. Lowers triglycerides in those with cholesterol. In turn, its properties help control blood glucose levels, regulate muscle tone. Many people use coconut oil for cosmetic purposes, as well as to improve the health and appearance of their skin and hair. A study published in the Journal of Traditional and Complementary Medicine, found that the application of virgin coconut oil produces anti-inflammatory activity by inhibiting the various levels of cytokines (cells responsible for the immune response), improves the protective function of the skin and protects against UV radiation. With the results of this research it was found that virgin coconut oil could be useful in the treatment of skin disorders, such as atopic dermatitis and eczema, diseases caused by a dysfunction in the skin to deal with irritants.
