Regarding the use in cosmetics, the products whose formula incorporates cannabis, excludes its psychoactive element (THC) tetrahydrocannabinol. Instead, they take cannabidiol (CBD) as the active ingredient. This element has numerous medical applications and was already isolated in 1940 for the first time.

Besides the benefits in cosmetics, its health benefits extend to many areas. We find it as CBD oil and it is a natural alternative to classic analgesics and anti-inflammatories, helping to combat pain and inflammation.

The benefits in cosmetics are due to its content of antioxidants, moisturizing properties, omega-3, omega-6, and vitamin E. It prevents skin aging, providing luminosity and hydration. Also, as I mentioned, its anti-inflammatory effect is ideal for skin with acne because even though it is an emollient, it is not greasy. It is also excellent for dull, dry and irritated skin.
